We are working with a total of 30 community gardens in Berlin and Munich that differ in urban context and garden management. The aim is to investigate whether and how garden features and horticultural practices can promote wild bee diversity and support their pollination efficiency.
Based on our research results and in collaboration with the gardeners in the project, we want to develop measures and examples for the promotion of pollinators in community gardens. Frequently suggested measures from the literature are presented here. They serve as an introduction to the discussion about the practical implementation of pollinator promotion in your own garden.
